Spain manager Luis Enrique has criticized the press over their treatment of youngster Bradley Barcola. The 18-year-old winger has been in impressive form for Barcelona this season, but has been the subject of intense media scrutiny.
Enrique: "The press should be more supportive."
Speaking ahead of Spain's friendly against Portugal, Enrique said: "I think the way the press has treated Bradley Barcola is unfair. He is a young player who is still learning his trade. It is not fair to him to put so much pressure on him.
Enrique continued: "The press should be more supportive of young players. They should be helping them to develop, not trying to tear them down. I hope that the press will give Bradley Barcola the space he needs to grow and develop as a player.
