Somerset House fire: 125 firefighters tackle blaze at historic London landmark

Firefighters have brought a blaze at London's historic Somerset House under control, with priceless paintings by Monet, Cezanne and Van Gogh unharmed.

Around 125 firefighters were called to the scene in central London on Saturday, with videos posted on social media showing grey smoke billowing into the air.

The fire broke out at around 10:30am and was brought under control by 12:30pm. No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
