Buffalo Bills Crush New York Jets 32-6 in Joe Brady's Debut
Bills Dominate in First Game Under Interim Coach
Buffalo, NY - November 19, 2023
The Buffalo Bills (11-4) cruised to a convincing 32-6 victory over the New York Jets (6-9) on Sunday, securing a playoff spot and extending their winning streak to four games. The victory marked the first game under interim head coach Joe Brady, who took over following the firing of Sean McDermott.
The Bills offense was firing on all cylinders, led by quarterback Josh Allen. Allen threw for 353 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 51 yards. Running back Devin Singletary added 121 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The defense held the Jets to just 246 yards of total offense and forced three turnovers, including two interceptions by safety Jordan Poyer.
The Jets, on the other hand, struggled to find any rhythm on offense. Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson was under constant pressure from the Bills' defense and was intercepted twice. Wide receiver Elijah Moore led the Jets with 103 receiving yards, but it was not enough to spark a comeback.
The Bills now have a commanding four-game lead in the AFC East and are in prime position to secure a home playoff game. The Jets, meanwhile, face an uphill battle to make the playoffs, as they currently sit in third place behind the Bills and Miami Dolphins.
